Membership Criteria
Founding Members of ATSIHRTONN include the Workforce Issues Policy Officers (WIPO) which are situated within each NACCHO Affiliate. WIPOs retain membership rights, on behalf of the NACCHO Affiliate. If the NACCHO Affiliate also is a Registered Training Organisation then they have further representation on ATSIHRTONN in this capacity.
In order to become a new member of ATSIHRTONN an organisation needs to meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a NACCHO affiliate, a member/associate member of a NACCHO affiliate, or a member of NACCHO.
- Currently be a RTO, in the process of becoming a RTO or entered into an auspice arrangement with a member RTO (subject to agreement of the membership).
- Offer or plan to offer AHW qualifications, from Certificate II to Advanced Diploma, based on industry/community need in their service area.
Member Obligations
Once an Aboriginal RTO is accepted as an ATSIHRTONN member, it must sign its commitment to the following member obligations to confirm its membership.
ATSIHRTONN members will operate under the philosophy of the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector.
ATSIHRTONN members will ensure that they have the relevant knowledge to represent their jurisdictions and are well informed on the current issues from their State/Territory to ensure accurate reporting to the Network.
ATSIHRTONN members agree to attend all meetings and teleconferences of the Network unless prior advice is provided to the Secretariat.
If ATSIHRTONN members are unable to attend a meeting or teleconference then a proxy with the appropriate levels of knowledge to contribute should be nominated to attend.
ATSIHRTONN members have the responsibility of regularly reporting the activities and progress of the Network to their Agencies, Chief Executives and Boards of Management, and any other relevant stakeholders in their jurisdiction.
Any information provided to the ATSIHRTONN Secretariat will not be forwarded on to any other agencies without the consent of the appropriate member organisation – the responsibility for gaining this consent lies with the ATSIHRTONN member who originally provided the information.
